In Arcomia the open world is a mechanic of using a virtual world that users can explore and approach experiences freely in. It is to guide the user towards major in-world events and to explore experiences. The open world can be seen as a playable lobby, where users can roam around and visit eachothers land plots and experiences. The actual experience does not take place in the open world but happens through instancing.

There are multiple ways to roam around in Arcomia's metaverse. The most common method is walking, however seeing that Arcomia's metaverse scales vertically it can be a difficult task to visit higher or lower levels without the use of transportational tools. Walking/Running Walking/Running is the main method of exploring the world. Since the world is scaling horizontal and vertical, running is not always the preferred method. Especially when moving to a higher (vertical) level things might get inefficient as you need to find a ramp or stairs, which are not always available in your area.
